High End Technology Is Expensive

technology of tomorrowIn a world that we constantly strive to reach higher, there is new technology everywhere you look. It is a driving force that no one can or wants to slow down. It is both a blessing and a curse according to many. The good side of it is that technology enables us to do more, see more, and learn more. The downside-high end technology is expensive! It comes at such a high cost that most people cannot afford it until it is old technology.

Shockingly Impressive High End, Obscure Technology

robotic sleep pillowWhat if you could sleep with a tiny 4-lb pillow and get the best night’s sleep of your life? Or if your baby’s diaper was somehow connected to your smartphone so that you would always know that they were damp? It is possible, or may very well be in the near future. The Somnox Robotic Pillow can sing you to sleep like a baby, soothing away the stress of your days. The Smart Diaper can eliminate the risk of diaper rash and help it to heal faster if there is already a rash present. How have we ever lived without it?

If you love your K-9 companion, the Laika interactive companion for dogs is a true blessing. With this AI you can see your best friend from anywhere in the world, talk to him, and even give him treats. It could be a great invention for pet owners who have separation anxiety, but who really needs it?

We personally like the things that are a little less obscure, but still outstanding in their function thanks to technology.

Less Obscure but Amazing Tech

high tech rifleIf you have a child that is near or under about 10 years old, they have no concept of a world before smartphones and tablets. Go back to 25 years ago or so, and only the rich could have a mobile phone. It was one that you plugged into your car’s cigarette lighter and may have been in a bag that weighed several pounds. Reception kind of sucked and there was no way you were going to sit with it on your lap.

PCs didn’t have Windows in the 80s. You had to play games by typing out codes on your old Commodore 64. In the early 90s, you did have windows, but you had to exit out of it. Now, Windows or Mac PCs are leaps and bounds away from those days.

Technology has given us the ability to message, play games, take photos, and more. Its been a rapid-fire improvement over virtually all aspects of our lives. Even down to our hunting and target practice. Expensive rifles, high-end rifle scopes, hunting gear that wasn’t available 20 years ago, and more. If you look at one of the most expensive scopes available, it offers more features than your grandpa would have been able to imagine and outstanding precision to boot.

What Will Tomorrow Bring?

In another 10 years, what do you think the world will be like? Will we all own automated cars? It is possible if you can afford it. Will your toddler be able to push a button and their diaper change itself? Odd concept, but maybe it is possible. No matter what tomorrow brings, I personally think that it will be quite impressive and perhaps unimaginable.
